Surely we should be focusing on improving the public health sector. Invest, train and retain staff. A lot of people in Africa can’t afford basic healthcare because of spiralling costs.

Only if they are regulated. In parts of Africa private sector providers sell OTC medications & prescription drugs without being licensed as a pharmacy. It is also hard to verify credentials of providers and accreditation of facilities.

The private sector also has an responsibility to provide health care to its employees. In order to achieve
#UHC by 2030 labor laws need to be introduced to require employer-based health insurance payments.
