Disobedience is a break in the relationship with God. This brings repeated disaster to the Israelites-social upheaval, exile, etc. God never forced a relationship, He only warns of the consequences humanity will bring upon itself by this break. Notable is God always forgives.

God made hell because it’s a place he can’t dwell in. God is pure, love, and goodness. God cannot be near hurt, sin, and evil. God understands some people don’t like Him, people like you who openly reject Him. Hell was created as a place for people who don’t want to be with Him!

At least God has revealed His demand upon us very clearly. And offered a way for us to meet His demand. What excuse will we offer God when we come face to face with Him when there’s no doubt we understand Him? None. Eternal separation will be His answer for denying Him.
