International shipping consumes about 330MT.fuel & therefore emits ~1000 MT.CO2.eq. Approx three times the UK emissions pa. More at

It is as reliable as can reasonably be expected. Fossil fuel emissions will be based on a measurement of fuel consumption multiplied by an emissions factor (gCO2/toe). It is more complicated and prob less closely tied to measurements for eg landfill methane, LULUCF emissions.

We've increased wind and solar over time and replaced coal with gas, but I can't account for such a drop? No big nuclear projects have come online I don't think?
