Proud Director Lists like this convey different things and we know they are nuanced. However, I remember everyone asking me 16 years ago as I was leaving NASA if I was going to be a Professor at Georgia Tech's Earth and Atmospheric Sciences program. I would say, "No, UGA." (1of2)

Now when people say, "oh you are at UGA's Atmospheric Sciences program." We are now the largest meteorology program in Georgia and growing. As Program Director, employers and graduate schools often send me, kudos on our students and say they look out for them.

this list clearly says best ranked schools with programs not top ranked meteorology programs. That is the point of my prefacing statements. The point is simply highlighting how this 20 year program has progressed. We punch above our weight. By the way, I am a 3x FSU Alum,
