“Greenland could raise global sea level by 20 feet if the entire ice sheet melted. Of course, that is not likely to happen.” According to who? Maybe not completely in our lifetime. But under business as usual, it’s going to melt dramatically w/ serious consequences for sea level.

Sea level rise isn't the biggest problem, it is relatively slow and people will can relocate. How the fresh water affects the ocean currents (takes cool water south,brings warm water north) could be a far larger problem if desalination at the point warm water sinks shuts it off.

But if Greenland hadn't been warmer than now in 900 ad, then the Vikings wouldnt have been able to live happily until it got cold again and they left...So without the whole story temperature changes are meaningless.
