(3 of 3) to me, not necessarily breaking news that these 1 in 1000 chance happening more frequently or in places they shouldn't. The climate science has warned of this like epidemiologist warned of Covid-19 threat. We've been treading water or sinking...Time to swim on action

Great point about the fact that both sides of hydrometeorological extremes can coexist....It is always so counterintuitive to many...like those who struggle yo grasp that we will still have winter weather even as climate warms

Interesting weather today in the deserts of SE California and SW Nevada. A reminder that flash flooding is a threat here even during a mega drought.

Kentucky Governor wondered why all this #ExtremeWeather & #flooding keeps happening. @insideclimate's @jbruggers asked #climate scientists @GreatLakesPeck @DrShepherd2013 @airscottdenning & Drew Shindell. Yes, it's the #ClimateCrisis, burning #FossilFuels. insideclimatenews.org/news/29072022/

At my last station in Memphis, I was told to "nuke" any mention of climate change for those same fears by the Powers That Be. For most in charge, if it comes close to disturbing their algorithms or alienating potential customers, the attitude will remain. 1/3
