As a recent patient this retraumtized me because I have a fear of being stuck in positions that I don’t want to be in. It exasperated the trauma by inducing anxiety, frustration and irritability that lead to a false diagnosis. They drugged me even though I was not violent.

Compelling results about the trauma of being restrained in medical settings. Now imagine the trauma of being pregnant or giving birth restrained, as many incarcerated pregnant folks are forced to do.
