    Some good news! I have just signed the contract for my first book. 'Growing Up and Going Out: Youth Culture, Commerce, and Leisure Space in Post-War Britain' will be published with as part of their Studies in Popular Culture series. I am over the moon.

    Years ago, owing to their mistake, I underpaid income tax by almost £200. They agreed to a monthly repayment as I was a single mum with two kids. When I changed banks, and the last payment didn’t clear, I got a letter threatening court action. The amount outstanding was £16.37.

    One of our hedgehogs is having hydrotherapy to help with an old fractured front leg. A daily swim will build muscle strength and helps with mobility. Hedgehogs are great swimmers but tire easily so we keep the hydrotherapy sessions short and sweet.
