Good article, but this is notable: "I asked several climate researchers what political and business leaders should do..." Flip it around, still sound OK? "I asked several political and business leaders what climate researchers should do..."

My new post: Dem candidates are arguing over who has more climate scientists supporting their plans. It’s a little goofy. Climate scientists have no special wisdom on political, economic, or moral issues. Abusing their authority does science no favors.

Delighted to share a new article, by myself & in the eminent Design Studies journal. here we present a method by which we co-designed a toolkit that enables practitioners in all areas of sustainability to use ideas from social practice theory.

Here is a radical thought for you... If RCP8.5 was never called business-as-usual, by anyone, we probably would have written the same article. The title would be "The 'worst-case scenario' story is misleading" [The paper does not hang on BAU...]

I guess it will take some more years until more powerful insiders, belonging to the core modelling groups, reformulate the heretics' earlier criticism and show practical ways out of it Basically the same happened in the CDR/BECCS debate 6/n

‼️ New paper! 📄 We used an experimental survey to explore how describing land use change in terms of social conflict (or not) affects public opinion. Big sample, lots of stats, some useful findings. Here’s a summary of 2 key findings. (And paper is here: )
