Texas police officer Carmen DeCruz shot Michael Dean in the head, killing him, after pulling him over for speeding on December 2, 2019. Today, Temple PD released its report on the shooting, saying DeCruz killed Mr. Dean after “an altercation of some sort."https://www.kxxv.com/hometown/bell-county/report-michael-dean-shot-after-altercation-of-some-sort …
The PD claims that Mr. Dean did not stop when DeCruz tried to pull him over & a short pursuit ensued; however Dean family's attorney @MeritLaw says Mr. Dean was simply waiting till he came to a safe well lit area to stop (which he did). https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2020/02/05/us/ap-us-police-shooting-temple.html …

Today's report was filed in compliance with a law meant to provide more transparency in police shootings. It provided none. In fact, every part of it was an attempt to obfuscate.
@MeritLaw is calling on the PD to release the bodycam footage - and charge DeCruz with murder.

Look at this officers history. He ran over a 15 year old boy and let him burn under his car until EMS arrived. He had 3rd degree burns. This officer is terrible.
