Tbh, I am surprised they didn't call the police. And I have zero doubt, if they had, the police would have arrested him.

A judge wrote a scathing opinion saying that if the police wanted to use "car smelled like marijuana" as a reason for pulling someone over and searching the car, it needs to be held to higher scrutiny.
When I was in HS, I had a black male passenger w/ me. We were pulled over, the cop saw like a spec of dried leaf (I live in the country), hauled us out of the car, detained while my car was tossed, found nothing, but wanted me to say it was weed and my friend's.
