Literally the only difference is that their deaths don’t get reported in @nytimes. And AG Bill Barr and members of the US Congress are not jumping up and down demanding their deaths be investigated and vowing that the people whose actions led to their deaths be held accountable.

There is an epidemic of understaffing, bloated budgets because of forced overtime and overcrowding in the jails. Is the US ready for this conversation or will conspiracy theories be easier to talk about? Poor people die in jail ALL THE TIME. But not many billionaires do.
