Wow. That shit was HARD! I tore with my son. Those first 6 weeks were awful.pic.twitter.com/rCwQAHpfrb

Yep. And just being informed of what you will be experiencing would certainly be helpful--and being given items that would make that time a bit easier would be wonderful!

Any woman who has given birth understands this ad. I’m 75 and I still remember how hard the weeks after my daughter was born were. Any product that would make this easier is progress. There was nothing in this ad that was prurient or untrue. Grow up!

Does it make you feel good to come on social media and shame women for not being told what the postpartum period would be like? Do you feel better about yourself now? Do you want a prize?

There’s a lot of talk and education about prenatal care but no talk about postpartum care. OBs don’t warn you about what you will have to go through/wear postpartum. It was new to me. My friends & female family members didn’t warn me either. Why is there no education about this?
-
I think that there is an assumption that this is something women tell other women and so it's just kept as a "not necessary to directly educate about" topic. Which is a shame because there are MANY OF US who do not/did not have mothers or female friends who talked to us about it.

I remember trying to determine the age of an infant based on how well the birth mother could walk...
