The most common violations of science in kids books seem to be dinosaurs of different time periods coexisting, also often with humans. And various other geographical animal issues like penguins at the north pole etc.

I’m sure you’d love reading Eric Carlisle’s ducks that are lost in the ocean then. I just had to tell my 3-yr old niece that it was at least questionable that the ducks would really float north, east, south and west from the same point in the ocean.
