Drug pricing is a complicated and confusing mess. These are commodities! On our end as a federally qualified health center we have a 340B program that makes us eligible to provide outpatient drugs at significantly reduced prices.

This tweet made my day. The disparity with healthcare and meds is sickening. Yes, access just one aspect because being able to actually use/afford it is a another thing that’s not taken into consideration.

I have medicare. Medicare pays for my nebulizer medications through Part B. Pharmacies don't bill it correctly and tell me my insurance Part D does not cover it. Try to have me pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. I went to 10 pharmacies until I found one 20 miles away that

knows how to bill medicare Part B and how to work with Medicare for billing questions. The pharmacy also has free delivery service. It was well worth driving 20 miles one way to the pharmacy. They sent me my meds even before I paid for them. They have a payment assistance plan.
