Next week is an important one for the Apalachicola River & Bay. On Monday, I will be attending SCOTUS oral arguments in the FL v. GA water wars case, which focuses on a judge’s findings that Georgia’s upstream water uses have harmed the Apalachicola ecosystem & fisheries.

I am hopeful that the Supreme Court will recognize the devastating effects of Georgia's water usage and the Army Corps Water Manual on the ecosystem in Apalachicola and the economy in the Second District.

Offshore drilling has been shown to release harmful chemicals into the ocean and disturb marine habitats. This is another example of this Administration endangering public health and the environment to line the pockets of industry.
