    We have an enhanced risk of severe weather on Friday in NWFL... the highest risk being east of Hwy 231 toward Apalach & the Big Bend. Tornadoes & Damaging winds are most likely w/ 3+" of rain likely.

    Our and are doing an amazing job with the fires. Unfortunately the unpredictable nature of a wildfire means it’s best for us to keep Waller Elementary closed for one more day on 3/9/22. All other schools will be open and buses will run as scheduled.

    MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED FOR FOLLOWING AREAS Mandatory evacuation order for homes south of U.S. 231 to U.S. 98 & between Transmitter Rd. & Star Ave has been LIFTED. Fire personnel & law enforcement have deemed it safe for residents living in this area to return home.

    WALLER CLOSED ONE MORE DAY – ALL OTHER SCHOOLS OPEN We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through our current wildfire situation. Waller will remain closed tomorrow. All other schools will be open on their usual schedule.

    . Incorrect information was reported this morning. There are NO fatalities and NO injuries.

    Contrary to national media reports, there are NO fatalities and NO injuries on the wildfires in Bay County. All first responders are safe.
