I do not condone body shaming. But, as a physician, I also cannot condone people pretending that obesity is healthy. Beauty may be skin deep, but fat deposits go all the way to your internal organs. Be healthy, live well!pic.twitter.com/PJ4dN0E83g

To those who think they found a “gotcha” because the picture of the fat covered heart is the donor heart transplanted into Christine Moore: yes, it was functional enough to replace one with failed valves. But, it by no means represents a “healthy” heart. Any port in a storm. 1/2pic.twitter.com/RMeJmb4EGq

It also further illustrates my point: unhealthy western lifestyles have made this heart “average” in that it is what can probably be expected in most donor hearts. That does NOT make it healthy! Thanks you to the donor & their family! 2/2pic.twitter.com/yWOpdCEhvV

Completely false. We are engineered as omnivores by millions of years of evolution. Grass fed beef, free range chicken, healthy pork, combined with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Whole grains aren't necessary, and they cause a blood sugar spike that will make you hungry again an hour later.

real whole grains. Not processed. Are healthy and do not cause the same spike. Steel cut oats, long grain wild rice, etc.
