My husband got his vaccines, he still wears a mask. When I get my vaccines I’ll still wear a mask and adhere to other health measures. It’s not that big of a deal. #WearAMask #SociallyDistance
#WashYourHands Keep others safe until it’s safe.

I wish they would. My MIL and I are planning a mainly outdoor (road) trip to see DC cherry blossoms (and daughter at GW) a month from now. She's vaccinated and I had COVID in December. We plan to stay masked except when around each other. I'd like the CDC to tell me that's ok.

Has there been recent advice saying that those who have had covid are somehow immune from developing it again?

If they say, no mask 30 days after 2nd dose, then people will start faking it and unmask now. CDC can't say anything yet.

My mask is the only thing keeping me sane right now. I hope we get to wear long after 2nd & 3rd dose. Not prepared to say goodbye to covid yet...

Nope. I appreciate a cautious, conservative CDC that waits for data before issuing guidelines.

There is a well trodden path of studying things to death, literally to death. That's what happened with masks. CDC said COVID-19 was transmitted mainly by respiratory means from nose, mouth to nose, mouth and lungs Feb 2020 but US "experts" waited till Apr to stop dissing masks.

It seems odd though, if the vaccines are so effective why can't they advise they can return slowly to normal life. It makes sense to continue to wear a mask and wash you hands, but you'd think they could say please do those things while you go out again.
