(2/4) James' tweets, made between 2017 and 2019, revealed information about Pokemon design inspirations, development details, and more insider info. Clearly, Game Freak didn't want this info made public -- so they deleted it all off Twitter the day after I shared the first quote.

(3/4) All this development info was wiped off the internet, but I still have every deleted tweet saved on my hard drive. As a courtesy, I asked James if he'd prefer I keep them private. However, he didn't respond -- so I don't think it's unethical for me to continue quoting them.

(4/4) I've long covered Lost Pokemon History... but this is the first time Pokemon History got lost because of me 😓 Japanese devs have also revealed important info on Twitter. So if you speak JP, I ask you please help record info before it's too late... and tell your friends.

Some devs are highly protective of their development process in hopes that it will keep others from copying or mimicking their process. It's dumb, but that's the reasoning I've heard.

Thanks Dr, very cool thread. Pokémon history is so rich, I’d be the first one ordering a book the day you decide to write one, I love what’s ‘behind’ Pokémon in every sense.

Imo, once information is on the internet, it becomes common knowledge and if people are interested, it can't be hidden anymore. I don't think they have a right to request you delete the tweets at this point.

They definitely have the right to ask him to delete because it’s their info, it belongs to them and he’s giving it out without their permission, so they are able to do that but I hope they don’t and honestly if they do it’ll just cause a bigger fuss about it anyway
