We bicker about the minute differences about various tech/infra to hide the fact that none of us knows how to attract new users.

I generally don't like to point fingers. To summarise, to all the young builders & founders out there, Ignore the noise. Don't get caught up in the whirlwind of L1/L2 wars. Work towards solving real problems while focussing on distribution. Nothing else should really matter 🙂

One of my favourite lines is actually this one from Austin Federa on one of the Solana ecosystem Telegram groups 'This is Crypto. No one reads ❤️‍🔥' I guess this is what we all do while jumping to conclusions

I still am gonna spend more time investing my time and effort talking to projects building on newer ecosystems and maybe even Angel invest. If you're building on something really genuine and beyond all the maximalism, Do hit me up!

There's far more community oriented work that needs to be done. I hope they learn a lot from the Purple chain communities but I certainly hope they don't imbibe the tribalism that exists rn It feels far more rewarding when you try to be largely neutral with a very valid strategy

From a personal level, I'm definitely gonna pick a side. I'm finding more comfortable to folks in the newer ecosystem who don't subscribe to tribalism (yet) which obviously includes Aptos. Do they have it all figured out? Absolutely not.

I guess we don't get talked often cos we have never subscribed to the mass euphoria of SOL, in general. I get it, there's just way too many projects despite the fact that we have been making a huge legacy on Solana despite the fact that we don't get the right acknowledgment

here's a rough list (non-exhaustive) that comes to mind: @Hivemapper, @helium, @RenderToken, @solanamobile, @SquadsProtocol, @getcode, @TipLinkOfficial, @ottrfinance, @saydialect, @drip_haus, @crossmint and all DeFi apps imo (to be clear, we have a ton of work to do still)

Most L1 maxis or tribals should REALLY get this. To the larger world, we are still a minority industry. No-one really cares if your platform runs on thin ice or your tech maxi explanations. Work towards real problem statements where the Blockchain doesn't have to be in your face

I used to think of always subscribing to still being a loyal community member in Solana in my own quiet way, but I guess it doesn't really make a difference since you don't subscribe to the shout over the rooftop maximalism that they expect. It's just all too tiresome.

The tribalism applies to a few community oriented firms too, especially the ones I've come across in Asia This doesn't surprise me one bit as it subscribes to the age old custom of underhanded lobbying for one other and for their favourites. This applies to VC funding too!

It was even more surprising when a certain close friend comes up to me and says X: Hey! folks in the community are saying your firm has become like a traitor to Solana Me: Really, who said so? X: No-one really that I can recall. But I believe the same too Me: .....

On a personal note, There is always that one good friend/mentor figure who never misses the opportunity that our community/firm abandoned SOL The same person probably had no issues with a project like STEPN which was multi-chain since the start 🤷‍♂️

I mean isn't it the same maximalism that exists on Eth community that you're trying to fight too? Why the hypocrisy?

My thoughts doesn't really reflect my work commitments, but personally these are the things that need to improve in the ecosystem Even in the wake of our platform expanding to more than one chain, it got a little bit jarring when folks just take all sorts of assumptions.

Sometimes the most heard feedback are the loudest, hurtful ones that probably generates traction too. This is something that needs to change. The genuine feedbacks often comes from those who build heads down and ask for reasonable requests.

There are a lot of people working on L1s that I know of, take feedbacks too personally Like why? Shouldn't you feel 100 times more pumped up that people care enough to tell you about their problems? This happens despite the kindness that's being offered.

Maybe this is a bear market side-effect, but tribalism could erode the confidence of a genuine builder. You rarely come across builders who just want to loudly speak of what problems they are solving

The Panda team is just trying to buy more time. Wdyt? Think y'all should just keep spamming WEN MINT till they actually do it!
