Today's NYT crossword had as a clue, "Good thing to break, maybe" for a 5-letter word beginning with H. I was disappointed that hymen was the wrong answer.

I went to a Catholic school for a few years before I turned 10 and I distinctly remember being told by the older girls that they reckoned the reason us girls weren't allowed to do triple jump was because adult teachers thought it might tear the hymen. But long-jump was a-okay.
