The good news for commuters is that somewhere in Melbourne right now is a tram with two vacant seats

Woohoo, trending! I have nothing to plug. Write my name down and stick it on your fridge with a magnet so you remember it in like four years when I do something

Maybe we should bring back slatted timber seats, which would be more sustainable, cleaner & cheaper to maintain than upholstered fabrics. Maybe we could open Tram windows or take them out altogether to alleviate graffiti and get some fresh air?
-
Tram windows that could open? But where would the advertising get plastered? An open window poses a danger that passengers might be able to see what they’re passing! Out of the question.

Would never happen in Sydney!

That’s because even water has enough brain cells to know to stay out of Sydney. Which is saying a lot about the people who live there.

Hey Gerard, can you please let us know the tram number?
-
Sorry Yarra, I posted that after I’d got off. I should have thought to grab it! It was an outbound 58 that went by South Yarra station probably about 6.45pm, if you can track its movements from there
