I have a soft spot for black folks working on PHds, I went through it, it's tough. So I'm curious about something. Does what you're doing here contribute to anything? Do you actually think I care if Sanders is elected? Or did you just think it was cool to say something?

I do believe Hoover's FBI was targeting King long before he spoke out against the war and called for a poor people's march. But saying what MLK was fighting was classism not racism is ignorant whitesplaining. Note to my fellow white people: If we don't listen, we don't learn.

MLK did evolve his message to address classism, the problem with BS’ comments is that the FBI had been on MLK well before that point. He acts as if White America didn’t revile MLK for his fight for racial equality....

Amazing that you can look at a country that regularly, throughout its entire history, has had violent and hostile reactions to black advancement and success and then say that the real issue is class. I mean, he just doesn’t get it.

Class is (a) real issue, the impediments to upward mobility are real, but since 1691 Black people are still "begging" to be recognized as full citizens in America. There is NO comparison. Their struggles are a consequence of hate, not greed.

Say it again for the people in the back.
