I think doctors should use restraint on social media, be professional. I think we really do have to be careful. "Doctors must assume that their patients, relatives, and colleagues — past, present and future — will read their posts" is good advice.

Also, this “yet attaining equanimity would enable a doctor “to rise superior to the trials of life,” is the type of malignant thinking that drives physicians toward mental illness and away from asking for help when they need it.

disagree - also this article is...blah. I think doctors should be outspoken and use their privilege to advocate for things they see as important to them. As long as they aren't being paid by RBC or tea companies to post about stupid shit.

Disagree. Doctors should absolutely exhibit professionalism regardless. However...there is so much misinformation on social media. If doctors combat it head on, we are abdicating control of our profession

The reason why our profession is controlled by other people is precisely because we adopted the "silent" worker posture. We have to use social media to our advantage--particularly by combating misinformation

Look around at the world. There are cities in the US which don’t have clean drinking water. Women’s bodies are no longer there’s to preside over. Measles Vaccine denial MOC fraud Should physicians really stay silent? When is the time to speak up? *Asking for a friend*
