This covid cast cluster study from Singapore in June is just mind-blowing. It maps every infection including vaccination, symptom status, age and employment. One thing is apparent: there are very few asymptomatic transmissions.

“Any child who wants to wear a mask should be free to do so. But forcing them to make personal, health and developmental sacrifices for the sake of adults who refuse to get immunized is abusive.” - a good article by Dr Makary.

1/ More Covid-19 Delta variant deaths in England's fully vaccinated. Public Health England reports 59% more deaths in the fully vaccinated (402) than in the unvaccinated (253) from a total of 742 deaths from Feb. 1 - Aug. 6, 2021. Source: Table 5.

Powerfully compelling review… published by a group of absolute Giants in Medicine (not ⁦😀). Crickets from every science desk of every major news outlet across the US… again.

Why is it that as more and more evidence comes out that vaccinations don’t stop transmission, there is more pressure from media and politicians to institute vaccine passports?

will never happen. 1) Vaccines prevent severity, but less so infection. 2) Lots (and lots) of animal reservoirs. 3) Asymptomatic infection (especially with vaccines). No one likes , but it is time to accept that this virus is now part of this world. Forever.

2/ And he is not going to propose more lockdowns or widespread boosters. They do want to vaccinate teens but they are getting pushback. From an Icelandic reader (as you can see, the articles back him). Put Iceland on Team Reality. Virus gonna virus.

It's almost like they knew what they were doing, like they were following some kind of a "plan"🤔. What is their vax rate? 52% or something?

Would our Covid pandemic have played out by now if we had better widespread natural immunity from a focused protection strategy? Or is it already over and the incessant testing makes it seem like the now endemic virus is still out of control?

Is the historical Spanish Flu pandemic a template for Covid? It “began to mutate and evolve in a process called “antigenic drift.””The pandemic lasted about 1 1/2 years, but the virus became endemic.

Good thread encompassing research looking at durable immune response to Covid infection and vaccination. Suggests good chance that our immunity will protect against future severe infection (if our immune system is relatively healthy and functioning well)

It's really disappointing to see epidemiologists who are being paid $$$$$$ to consult for testing companies argue that kids in school need asymptomatic screening tests. I wish more would be like and not profit from a pandemic
