No. There will always be stupid assholes who recommend questionable garbage and justify it based on their medical license. It’s hard to draw a line even on something as seemingly indefensible as being anti-vaccination because the next thing over is a little less reprehensible.

Great point! Is a very slippery slope. I’m sure there have been previous occasions when medical advise has been comparably dangerous to public health. I wonder if any physicians in 1854 believed that drinking water out of the Thames was GOOD for you

I think being an openly anti-vax doctor is a lot like being a doctor who tells pregnant women folic acid is bad for them and their babies. If you're influencing people to neglect taking something and exposing them to harm, doesn't that contradict the "do no harm?"

I think it is a prime example of “doing harm” not to mention harm to the public. I guess the question would be is that enough to warrant loosing your license? Great comparison to folic acid!

Yes. There is no good health benefit of recommending patients or their children not receive vaccination. The only reason reason a health practitioner would do this is out of a selfish drive to be a hero to these patients through
#publichealthvandalism. -
