    I'm a bit lost for words, but would like to say a big thank you to for the Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award in Geomorphology, and to everyone I've worked with over the years to get to this point, to and especially my group. Bring on !

    Very dubious of policy in the UK to restrict gov funded PhDs to UK/EU (but resident in UK for 3 years) students. Surely we should be attracting the best minds from around the world to do PhDs? Interested in other opinions on whether UK gov funded PhDs should:

    Reflections on a decade: moved UK-CH-US-UK, from PhD student to group leader, met+married my husband, won some grants + early career award. BUT, also lost my bro and battled with periods of loneliness and anxiety related to this as well as all the challenges of a research career.
