2) US pediatric COVID hospitalizations are soaring record highs too. Matching UK in steepness if not even steeper growth.

⚠️Totally “mild”—US pediatric #COVID19 hospitalizations nearly 2x last year’s all-time high. Kids shouldn’t be hospitalized—kids shouldn’t be getting #LongCovid. Kids have their whole lives ahead of them. Let’s protect the kids. 🙏 HT @DrWilliamKuHealthData.gov

4) not just hospitalizations— but the “mild” propaganda folks very conveniently ignore #LongCovidKids. We cannot ignore #LongCovid — especially in our kids- which will harm them for a generation to come.

“Mild”? It is downright shameful & scandalous that #LongCovidKids has doubled in 3 months & tripled in 6 months in kids 2-16 in 🇬🇧. Kids suffering for 12+ months has also doubled! There is no universe where kids #COVID19 debilitated as such is “mild”! Figure by @jneill@ONS data

How much of the pediatric hospitalization is because of COVID vs. how much is incidental with COVID? NY Governor Hochul was saying that a portion of the overall NY hospitalizations was people admitted for non-COVID reasons who happened to test positive for COVID.
