First, it was elderly, then it was the elderly and those with preexisting conditions, and now the definition of expendable people during a pandemic is being expanded to include children

Currently, Alabama has about 1/3 the number of people hospitalized as were during the peak over the summer (this has only just started). BUT, the exact same number of kids as then. Something like 5% vaccination rate in the 5-11 age group... It's terrible.

How much of the pediatric hospitalization is because of COVID vs. how much is incidental with COVID? NY Governor Hochul was saying that a portion of the overall NY hospitalizations was people admitted for non-COVID reasons who happened to test positive for COVID.
