FOLKS out there need to stop spreading misinformation about what they think I said. Before people dive into what they think they heard, read my summary BOTTOMLINE. We need expanded vaccine access now, not skip phase 3, but expanded Phase 3 trial for compassionate use volunteers.https://twitter.com/DrEricDing/status/1290025916790267904 …

    14) Recap: Expand vaccine via Phase 3 trial expansion to eligible people volunteering for early access in current hotspot epidemic areas as part of a mega Phase 3. We are NOT SKIPPING PHASE 3 trial. There is still 50/50 randomization but expanded trial access. Don’t misinterpret!

You can’t give vaccines to sick people without efficacy, safety & antibody enhanced response .. wee need to crawl before walking

Dude. You went along with an article entitled “Start Vaccinating Now” where the author stated he’d take it himself and others should too. I mean, you didn’t see this coming?

Modus Operandi typically followed by the man. Tweet some BS; Get called out for it, delete the original rubbish; Replace them with more moderate and mellow content; and Refute the responses made by concerned and genuine people to the original BS! The dude has to be reigned in.

Compassionate use does not apply to vaccines. It applies to potential treatments for people who are already sick.

Compassionate use (aka expanded access) could apply to vaccines but only for those at high risk not eligible to enroll in clinical trials of covid-19 vaccines, & there are a whole lot of trials enrolling right now, so this is not viable IMHO
