⚠️New mutant #SARSCoV2 coronavirus variant ‘G’ is potentially “~10 times more infectious in the lab” than the ‘D’ variant.https://twitter.com/DrEricDing/status/1277645902329634824 …

Worrisome 🦠 mutation: “At least four lab experiments suggest that the mutation makes the virus more infectious. Another study from Los Alamos National Lab finds that patients with the G variant actually have more virus in their bodies, i.e. more likely to spread it to others. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/O6yOJHsUiI

        2) For the record- the “~10x” came directly from the Washington Post article and another scientist. https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2020/06/29/coronavirus-mutation-science/?arc404=true …pic.twitter.com/elHuP2ZTrX

Aspartate and glycine (the reported mutation) are chemically distinct amino acids with divergent functionalities. Point mutations are well known factors causing enhanced viral and bacterial virulence. If the data pans out, you can call it whatever you want. It will still be real.

Op zijn reis richting Westen is het inderdaad steeds heftiger gaan verspreiden, misschien niet alleen door verkeerde aanpak in veel Westerse landen. Categorie "in de smiezen houden" #bookmark

I was accused of shutting down the entire economy today because I have been reiterating journal articles and anecdotal reports since January 20th; I tried to educate people and encourage them to prepare; how is that spreading fear and panic?
