The assumptions that he makes are so tiresome. Also, students may choose to study these languages as a result. There are fantastic language institutes that help students learn.

I like how he calls himself a linguist & yet forgets how many linguists study languages that they also do not speak. Also linguistics is so rooted in colonialism it doesn’t know its ass from its face. Not really sure what I meant by that but maybe I just wanted to say assface
