I was a swimmer. It is such a super white sport (it’s getting a little better) where men like him are made to feel like gods. There has to be life after the sport and for him, there was white supremacy and an insurrection? Shame on him

It sounds like after swimming, he had a series of failed jobs, his marriage broke up, and he ended up homeless. After being a god, he became nothing. Sounds like he was looking for an ideology that made him feel like a god again.

And that's what white supremacy says: you're not a loser, you're actually the master race! All that you need to do is crush those people over there.
