One of the biggest mysteries I’ve been pondering is this: What motivates people who aren’t marginalized to stand up for those who are marginalized? Tbh I think it might take greater courage for people w/ no skin in the game to get involved than those w/ it What do y’all think?

I agree. People who are marginalized are also far more likely to be attacked for (verbally, physically, even murdered) than those with privilege when both stand up for the marginalized.

I think you’re both right. I think the marginalized who speak when their bodies are the ones experiencing oppression are more courageous. Thank you.
