Yes - this anti-racist work will ruffle feathers frequently. But initial resistance is usually a sign of growing pains; students need to to readjust to the new knowledge bc the systems they trusted are now in question.

Agreed. When you don’t know things, you also lack a vocabulary to express those things. That means that there will be difficult moments. As teachers our job is to help students learn and grow. That’s actually difficult work for them and for us.
