How do we see it? By the fact that she stresses the race of the man who is "threatening," here. She may be conditioned to think of black men as dangerous by our white supremacist society, but what we see here is her exploiting her white womanhood in service of that stereotype. 2/

She knew what she was doing then. Now, when there are consequences, she's trying to rewrite the narrative. Kind of hard to do when there's ocular proof, though. This is white fragility in action. 3/3
