Probably just the first one—mostly because I’d want to spend half of the class on Richard II.pic.twitter.com/uLLGp6WNJh

Ooh good question! If just one, I’d be torn between 1 and 3... I would say 3 for sure if you’re also teaching R3? But maybe 1 if you’re not.

I'm doing: R2, H4,1, H5, R3, and... I want to impose a five plays so that I can assign other historical and theoretical readings.

All three but if pushed I’d do Part Three. Simply because I adore it and Queen Margaret gets to do a lot of shit in it. And you’ve got Dickie in it as well.
Kiitos. Käytämme tätä aikajanasi parantamiseen. KumoaKumoa

3 for me

Ditto. And add Richard III if possible, which they’ll enjoy so much more knowing all the backstories.

All 3! But if you had to do only one, despite obvs loving part 3 for so many reasons (Margaret), 2 gives a bit of everything, and has some v. cool women and witchcraft stuff with Eleanor, some interesting class stuff with Cade rebellion, and Margaret cradling Suffolk’s head!

Agree that if you had to choose only one of them, 2 gives the best sense of the trilogy's general vibe, although you definitely need to include the Edward/Elizabeth scene and the ensuing Gloucester speech from Part 3.

Agree with
@jakerr35 for these reasons and for those mentioned by@kat_hipkiss = plus the Cade material is a good focus for some textual history to be covered if you want to introduce your students to questions of attribution, collaboration etc.
