TFW you’re the most junior person in the room advocating for equity and people tell you after the meeting that they wanted to say something in support. It means a lot more when you do it in the moment and you use your privilege. Otherwise it’s exploitative.

Indeed they do. But often, they're not. Please don't stop speaking up though.

This is why faculty of color experience burn out though. We aren’t supported and we don’t have endless resourcefulness to nourish these constant stressors. At some point we have to stop just to take care of our mental and emotional health.
