Ugh, totally! I was berated and told it was “anachronistic” to “keep making Shakespeare about race.” (Plays in question [not that the plays are the issue]: A&C, Titus, Merchant, & Othello?!?!)

Just because white people can’t or refuse to see whiteness doesn’t mean it isn’t there. And thats’s racework too.
