Awks for sm1 not black to trivialise racism against black plp. Internet penetration is almost 80% in US and the idea that racists don’t know what blackface is, is improbable. Blackface has been occurring since 1830s, which denotes conscious generational and communitarian racism

You’re 100% right that *racists* would know the mocking intent of blackface. But of those who are ignorant of its meaning, not all are racist. Some simply don’t know what you know. To label them “racist” is to perpetuate an ugly cycle that gives justice a lousy name.

Wrong. If you’re doing blackface, you are intentionally mocking black people and that is racist.
