I'm interested in what you see as the difference between precarity and scarcity because at some points in the podcast it seemed as though you were talking about the latter rather than the former.

Precarity and scarcity are intertwined, and scarcity (especially in terms of stable, long-term employment opportunities in academia and beyond) is one of the major contributors/factors to precariousness. It becomes difficult then to separate the two as they are symbiotic(?).

I think this is an important distinction and connection, particularly when the conversation seemed to move to other forms of precarity like wealth, etc. that for me was a moment to highlight how the economy of perceived scarcity has resulted in 1/
