Actively look to support those that support you; if someone always shares your tweets, remember to return the favor (for those things you agree with) or at least comment.

I completely agree with this. Likewise, if someone continually ‘takes’ and sends lots of ‘asks’ your way, but does not return the favor, red flag where etiquette is concerned.

From a patient... use people-first language in tweets about obesity. I am a person with (or affected by) obesity NOT an obese woman... just as I wouldn't be a cancerous woman.

RTing is too seductively easy, just the click of a key; always think twice, and read the relevant article if it's linked

1. Don’t bully by using hashtags to call people out. 2. Don’t complain about work. 3. Even if you think they are de-identified, don’t tweet about your patients 4. Be kind, giving, and compliment others.

My tip is that one should not poke his or her nose into everything. People should follow the people of their own area of interest.

Do. Not. Feed. The. Trolls. If the convo turns nasty, or there's a comment that tears you down: don't reply, mute the person and move on. Don't block them unless necessary, blocking is still food for the trolls and they'll share that with their troll pod, leading to more drama.

Antivaxxers, homeopathy, anti-science ppl, etc will not change their minds because of an argument you have with them on twitter. It just makes both parties look petty, it wastes your time, and escalating the situation can lead to really bad behavior (esp on their part).
