      Gillibrand endorses MJ Hegar in #TX31. This is a seemingly safe R seat north of Austin- incumbent in US Rep. John Carter. But Hegar is a serious candidate who is running a real campaign.

      I will happily support @mjhegar in the fall if she wins nomination, but.. I would prefer @DrMann4Congress,who is focussing more on the ideas of actual voters of the district & less on what National #Dems think. #TX31 deserves a #USRep who will pay attention to the constituents.

      I agree, which is why whether the nominee is @mjhegar or @DrMann4Congress #TX31 #Dems are in good shape to put the Judge on his heels. I prefer Christine because imho she has put more time into meeting & listening to constituents and less time pursuing $$ & national endorsements.

      I’m not sure single payer health care and free college for all (both are mentioned on Dr. Mann’s website) are centrist. This is part of the far-left (Sanders) wing of the party. These sorts of positions would harm her in a general election in an R-leaning district.
