2/ The entire premise of this legislation is wrong. Just a flat-out lie. To suggest that doctors are murdering viable babies who survive an abortion is a complete fabrication.

3/ This does not happen. For Congress to even write this legislation is infuriating. Because it does not happen.

4/ This suggestion, that doctors murder viable babies, is slanderous. How dare they make this assertion? How dare the codify this lie into legislation?

5/ This type of lie makes the whole discussion around abortion much more difficult.

6/ It feeds the complete fabrication of what the pro-choice movement is about and makes it impossible to find solutions that honor a woman’s bodily autonomy while giving her the tools to plan her family in a way that works best for her.

7/ And that’s the worst part about these lies. Because there are many proven ways to reduce abortion. Guess what! I want that too!

8/ I want every woman to have access to the tools she needs to prevent unplanned pregnancies. I want every woman to have the support she needs to carry her pregnancies to term. And I want every woman to have access to support for her and the children she gives birth to.
