I agree they can. But to a much lesser extent than fast food, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc. Lifestyle CHOICES that put you at higher risk do not deserve cheap or free healthcare. It takes away money and resources from those who need it.

Nice try Doc. Worked an ICU for many years. Yes you can find healthy lifestyles that get sick through no fault of their own but a high percentage of heart disease, obesityand cancer is caused by poor lifestyle. I know it doesn’t fit your narrative but it’s not false.
