PS: a regular transfusion would not have helped. If he had needed that, we would have been able to get one. But platelet rich plasma is produced and processed differently, and has to be already in stock to be used.

I am so, so, so sorry. I am a dog-mom to four senior dogs and this story hits me hard. It’s obvious you were a wonderful mom and you gave him a good life. Hugs from north Texas. 
There is so much suffering because of the inept “handling” (if you can even call it handling) of this pandemic. I am so sorry for your loss. Dogs are so innocent and they make our lives so much better. RIP sweet boy.
