The second time I saw Kamala speak (back before Covid) was because she appeared for down ballot races in Virginia & Maryland. Both of these candidates have a history of working hard for down ballot candidates.
I’m not talking to the Biden/Harris Campaign. I’m talking to DONORS and asking that they send some of their money to School Board, City Council and other local races.
Do you think I, as a donor will just randomly give to a school board candidate? You’re discussing a hyper-local set of races. This means the candidates are at the start of their careers and it’s their job to convince donors to support them in their neighborhoods.
Of course not. I’m suggesting that when donors are considering where to spend their donation dollars, they should not just donate at the presidential level, but seek out local races too. The only way candidates can reach voters is if they have the money to send literature.
