Let’s talk flu shots! For those who usually forgo flu shots, here’s why I’m pushing you to get yours this year & each year until we have an effective treatment for COVID. Do you remember way back in March when doctors talked about flattening the curve? 1/5

The reason was to free up resources for those who were getting seriously ill from COVID. Same idea. We need as many people as possible vaccinated against flu so that doctors, nurses, & hospitals continue to have the capacity needed to treat those who get seriously ill. 2

We need fewer sick people so that we have ventilators available for flu and COVID sufferers who need them. 3/5

We need fewer cases of flu so we don’t use up all our PPE trying to figure out who has flu vs. who has COVID, because until we have test results back, we will have to assume COVID and use our dwindling supplies of PPE. 4/5
