Again, I wasn't apart of the TX-31 primaries, so I am speaking from some level of ignorance. However, I heard that it did get contentious at times. I'm guessing it spawns from that. I'm sure there are other avenues to connect outside Twitter. I'm sure the bridge can be made.

What would you suggest besides asking in person, emailing, reaching out on social media? We have done all that. She has no office and no phone number listed for her campaign. You assume bad faith on the part of the people who are blocked, and not on the part of the blocker. Why?

With all due respect, I'm not assuming anything. Again, I don't work for the campaign, but I continue to see a focus on a handful of ppl being blocked on Twitter. It seems like a bizarre issue to primarily focus on when ppl need better income, healthcare, cheaper college etc 1/

There are also ppl I've spoken to who said you have been a great contributor to the Democratic party in TX-31 and will continue to be. I just think there are better ways to work this out than on Twitter. I hope you understand that perspective. 2/

I wish there were other ways to work this out. But no one is listening. She is not listening. We have tried reaching out. There have been two newspaper articles about it. Still nothing. Voters in
#TX31 have had 20 years of a rep who refuses to engage with constituents. 1/2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I helped organize rallies and meetings over the past 4 years to highlight the unresponsiveness of our current rep. Democrats railed against that behavior. Now that it is a Dem doing the same thing, crickets. These constituents deserve a voice. 2/

They have no platform to use to get her attention; I do. And still, many make excuses. They say we are petty. That we have harassed her. We have not. Many were blocked before interacting with her at all. Young voters, new to politics.

Community activists who need access to their rep so they can work with her on their causes, blocked for asking her opinion on suicide issues, mental health issues, Gun issues. Independents looking for a Democrat they can support, blocked before even asking a question. 4/

Black women who firm the core of the local Dem party: blocked. We are trying to get this fixed because she cannot win this without these voters. But it’s incredibly disheartening to have other Democrats not even care about representation. 5/

The only contentiousness in the primary was when she lied continuously about my campaign, and when she refused to participate in any public forums. But none of that matters now. If people care about flipping this type of district, every Dem vote counts. 6/

And she can’t get there without these local activists. That’s what we are trying to fix and why we are speaking out. End/
