And I’m always going to side with the voiceless over the powerful. We should all be willing to hold our reps and candidates accountable. @donnaimamTX is showing us what kind of rep she will be. Bad candidates become bad public servants. We have an opportunity to fix this now.

But it won’t happen if we remain silent when those seeking power think that they have no responsibility to answer to us. @donnaimamTX has an opportunity to reverse course and apologize. She will choose to take it or she won’t. I have no access to her to make that happen.

So I’ll continue to use my platform to pressure her to do the right thing.

But if Imam does reach out to you, your supporters need to be ready to not only get in line, but to join the fight enthusiastically. I believe many of us will be counting on you, Christine, to give us the Greenlight when that time comes, and hopefully #TX31 can get rid of carter

There are numerous people who are reaching out to her behind the scenes including high ranking Democrats, starting immediately after the runoff. As of today, she hasn’t even answered their phone calls.

She is almost out of time. The people who are contacting me, community activists and precinct chairs, are asking for an apology, unblocking, and open, public events where constituents ask questions. Short of that, Donna will not have their support. The ball is in her court.

Carter and #TX31 gop have been getting a lot of mileage for a long time, because pols on the left don’t consolidate after the primary. We need to all quit getting our feelings hurt and go pro.

A basic principle of our Democracy is holding our representatives accountable by asking them questions. I just want a chance to engage with my candidate @donnaimamTX for #TX31. Asking for this basic principle to be upheld is not the problem. Only she can fix this problem.
